BIOGRAPHY

Brooke Sessler grew up in Fulton, Maryland and began dancing at local studio, Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland. During her time at Ballet Royale which transitioned to Ballet Conservatoire XIV in 2015, she studied ballet, pointe, Horton, and Graham from esteemed teachers, Donna Pidel and Hans Nelson. In addition to her technique classes, Sessler additionally took part in several volunteer-based social outreach performances such as The Ellicott City Ballerina Project, a cause dedicated to raising money and rebuilding her hometown in Maryland after a destructive flood. She is passionate about giving back to her community and dance for social change, as she has also taken part in performances benefiting LGBTQ youth and individuals with Autism.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she earned a BFA in contemporary dance. There she studied a variety of dance styles such as modern, jazz, ballet, composition, musical theater, hip-hop, ballet and modern partnering, and improvisation. She has performed works by esteemed choreographers such as Danny Pelzig, Ruka Hatua-Saar White, Denise Pons, William Isaac, and Key’aira Lockett. In her free time she enjoys teaching ballet to children, photography, painting, sewing, and video-editing.
